Hi friends! Are you a fan of radiant skin? Do you deal with acne or acne scars? Do you want an alternative way to better skin? If yes, then this post is for you.
I wanted to shed a little light on homemade skincare remedies. Like you, I buy my skincare products inside of a store closest to me or online. On the back of those products, there is a list of ingredients that produce what you put on your skin. Now I’m not gonna lie – I can’t pronounce many of those ingredients but I still us those products due to their convenience and claims. I have dealt with cystic acne and acne scars ever since puberty and honey I’ve tried it all.
My Skincare Story
From ProActiv (2010) to microdermabrasion scrubs (2016), the list of products I’ve tried is extensive. I’ve even went to a local dermatologist and paid for an expensive cream to help with my acne scars. Nothing worked and it was extremely discouraging. That’s when I decided to make a change.
I’ve spent a lot of time researching natural skincare and great ingredients for your skin. There are so many resources out there that give great advice for natural skincare and fresh homemade skincare recipes. My current go-to for natural skincare tips, recipes, etc. is fabhow.com. One of the recipes that have helped my skin so much is this turmeric and honey recipe.
What You’ll Need
The only ingredients that you’ll need for this mask is turmeric and honey. For this mask, you’ll mix together one tablespoon of honey and half a teaspoon of turmeric. Honey acts as a soothing agent for the skin, while the turmeric is using it’s potent nature to work on your skin. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, and wash off with a rag and warm water.
Pro tip: DO NOT use white rags, the turmeric stains them. Telling ya from experience lol.
This mask is super easy to make and can be done 3-4 times a week. It has done wonders for my skin and has helped fade the marks on my face. While I love my scars and I think that they’re beautiful, fading them a bit has helped with my self-confidence. I hope that this mask does the same for you, and that you are eager to try more natural skincare recipes! Thanks for reading and I’ll see ya in the one love. xoxo, Sarell ♡
