Hey my loves, welcome to the new beginning of my brand! With the New Year already here, I wanted to start things off by telling you guys a bit about me and the mission I’m taking on as a content creator. Then we’ll get into my goals for the year, and my evolution as an *amateur* hair + fashion maven.
A Bit About Me
I’m Sarell – a blogger, model, artist, and entrepreneur. Based in Ohio, I spend most of my time shopping around the city while snacking on some of my favorite foods and drinking a Strawberry Acai refresher from Starbucks (with lemonade and extra Acai of course).
My Mission as a Content Creator
My mission is to deliver helpful content for those who are of the hair + fashion enthused.
My blog suhrell.com, was created for the everyday person who loves hair and fashion on a realistic level. It was also created to showcase my personal style and take on the hair and fashion world.
On this blog in terms of fashion, you’ll find outfit inspiration, style tips and how-to’s, places to shop great quality without breaking the bank, and so much more. When it comes to hair, I love doing my own thing. You’ll find styling tips, hair care products/reviews, and my hair journey.
Goals for the New Year
For the New Year, I decided to write a few goals (not resolutions) that I wanted to share with you. These are goals that are intertwined with elements relating to my personal life and my career.
- Become more present physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
- Embody the vision of my future that God has planned for me, while staying true to myself.
- Save and spend wisely. That means in terms of money, time, and wisdom.
My Evolution as an *Amateur* Hair + Fashion Maven
The love for fashion always seemed to come easy to me. Being stylish, however, was something that developed as I got more in tune with myself. I’ve always loved dressing myself. I used to spend a ton of time trying on different clothes and shopping in different stores, just to figure out what felt unique to me. My style, to me, always seemed to represent something that was slightly unconventional for the time. It always felt like I didn’t dress like other girls, and I loved that.
The love for hair was something that came after a major change in my life. My hair used to be really long up until my freshman year of high school. It was long, straight, and relaxed. I spent a ton of time maintaining my hair, which included relaxers, flat-irons, and hair color. (I would choose a new color every month it seemed like). My hair was my treasure. Due to all of the damage I was doing to my hair (as a teen with no regard to consequences), my hair began to slowly break off in certain sections. So I’ve cut my hair shorter and shorter, until I became natural. And now, *skip a few years* I loveeeeee wigs and protective styles. If you’d like more on my hair journey, be sure to join my email list for the latest post updates.
And that my loves, is where this introduction comes to an end. Be sure to check back next Friday for a brand new post!
